For our 4th anniversary we decided to do something other than the usual dinner night, so we picked up a BBQ picnic and a bottle of wine, and drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon to Donut Falls. The weather and the drive were beautiful, and we had a romantic dinner near a stream. Then we hiked up to the falls which were not quite as beautiful as they used to be since the filled it in. some... I think. Regardless the night was perfect and romantic. I look forward to spending many more nights like that together.
So we decided to take Mike's cousin Cole and Gracie and Easton out for s'mores and hotdogs. The kids had fun, although it was kind of like circus for Mike and I. For a couple with 0 kids to have 3 kids under their watch was a little crazy! How to cook a marshmellow, by Easton: Hold hand directly in front of you, and approximately 5 feet from the actual flame for a few seconds, then lick and repeat.
I will begin with a personal fav from the night, exhibit a. The concert was AWESOME, the getting out of the parking lot, not so much. I'm officically in love with Jack, and Mike knows it, somehow we still work things out.
exhibit a my sis's I will finish with 'peace out' from Nicole's crooked finger to you.
We decided to take one for sure last trip camping and went to a new secret spot near Kamas, it was beautiful, the weather was awesome, and there wasn't another soul around besides us! Gracie came along because she loves camping and she inspired us to go on probably 6 different hikes, we made dutch oven for dinner and roasted marshmellows too! The dogs love the attention they get when she's around!
I recently took nicole hill's photo 101 class in preparation for a trip we will be taking soon. My mom and I took the class together and loved it. It has expanded my knowledge on photography and hopefully my skills as well, if anything it got me motivated and inspired about photography again! Here a a few of my images from the homework assignments.
